Each month, it is our pleasure to nominate a number of Kenmore Junior High students are publicly acknowledged and honored for some notable contribution to the Kenmore Colt spirit. Students are nominated for this kind of recognition for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is because they have been observed performing some act of kindness toward someone else in need, accomplishing a particularly difficult goal, or making some personal sacrifice to help a fellow classmate. Frequently, though, staff acknowledge kids as Stars of the Month not so much for their having done a single noteworthy thing as for their consistent display of a personal characteristic which in itself contributes to making this community a better place to live.
